ISO 22000 and HACCP certified

As part of our ongoing commitment to the quality and control of the production of our coffee, Australian Independent Roasters has undertaken and been awarded the internationally recognized ISO 22000 and HACCP standards.

ISO 22000 is a food safety management system implemented with specific procedural and structural control points, designed to ensure the best practice throughout our organization in controlling food safety hazards, from the production floor right through the structure of the business to management.

ISO standards are internationally recognized and combine the input of experts from around the globe in bringing together systems and production design. The ISO 22000 is the highest level of international certification for food businesses.

Included in the ISO 22000 is the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point System (Known as HACCP) which forms part of our manufacturing process. HACCP creates a framework for production of goods that aims to reduce or limit the possibility of food safety hazards.

Introducing these standards is part of our continued commitment to producing the best possible coffee product.

AIR Joins Cup of Excellence for 2011

Australian Independent Roasters is very excited to announce that we have renewed our membership of the Cup of Excellence coffee programme for 2011.

The Cup of Excellence is a strict coffee competition that selects the very best coffee produced in that country for that particular year based on the quality in the cup.
